Massage Therapy

A Holistic Approach to Healing

Did you know science has shown that there’s power in human touch? At Optimum Health & Wellness, we harness that power through massage therapy.

Massage therapy isn’t like getting a massage at the spa (although there are similarities). Instead, it focuses on the therapeutic potential of massage–its ability to reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote overall health and wellness.

Do you want to experience the benefits of massage therapy for yourself? If so, request an appointment today!

Who Can Benefit from Massage Therapy?

Several different conditions can benefit from massage therapy, including the following:

  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Massage therapy helps facilitate the healing process by boosting blood circulation and reducing inflammation. Certain techniques can also help improve joint mobility.
  • Tension Headaches: Some headaches can stem from muscle restrictions, especially in the head and neck. Working out those restrictions can help ease headache pain.
  • Osteoarthritis: Massage therapy can help manage osteoarthritis symptoms, including joint pain and restricted mobility.
  • Chronic Pain Conditions: Massage therapy is an excellent choice for people suffering from conditions like fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome, helping to ease pain and promote relaxation.

What To Expect from a Massage Therapy Session

We offer multiple types of massage at Optimum Health & Wellness. Our licensed massage therapists will work with you to understand your symptoms and conditions so we can decide which technique will best suit your needs.

Some of the massage techniques we might try include the following:

  • Deep Tissue Massage: Targets the deep muscles and connective tissue to work out knots and reduce scar tissue, making it a great, if intense, choice for those recovering from injuries.
  • Swedish Massage: A gentler alternative to deep tissue massage, this popular choice uses long, gliding strokes to promote blood circulation and relaxation.
  • Sports Massage: This technique uses a similar approach to Swedish massage but tailors it to the needs of athletes and active individuals.
  • Myofascial Release: This technique uses gentle stretching movements to ease restrictions in the myofascia, a flexible tissue that wraps around your muscles. It’s particularly effective for those with chronic pain conditions.

No matter what brings you to our clinic, our Optimum Health & Wellness massage therapist will help you manage pain and stress through the power of human touch. Schedule an appointment today to get started!
