Kathleen Lemieux

MPT

Kathleen (Kat) Lemieux has more than 35 years of experience in orthopedics and sports rehab and first experienced life in Ketchikan in 1994. She holds a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Life Science. She is currently a DSc graduate student at Andrews University with an emphasis on higher education, and she is working to obtain her COMT credentials through ASPIRE.

Kat is passionate about bringing the ‘biopsychosocial mode’ into patient care, treating the whole person rather than just the injury. Her wish is for every client to feel loved, cared for, and nurtured. She is driven by compassion and a genuine interest in improving people’s quality of life, and she values the chance to spend quality time with each patient here at Optimum. (And, she’ll admit, she loves the purple sheets, too!)

Kat grew up in Las Vegas (and no, she doesn’t gamble!) but LOVES everything about southeast Alaska and the Pacific Northwest! When she isn’t at Optimum, she lives in the Seattle area. Outside of work she loves hiking, running, and anything outdoors. She treasures time with her husband and two sons. Her favorite reads include The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Lord of the Rings, and Life of Pi.

There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.
